Top 10 Alternatives to Putlocker

Putlocker was once ranked in the top 250 most-visited websites. Sadly, the world’s most popular streaming website was eventually shut down for copyright infringement violations. There are still websites out there claiming to be affiliated with Putlocker, but users visit them at their peril. A better option is to try one of the Putlocker alternatives that have sprung up to fill the vacuum left behind when Putlocker disappeared.

123Movies

123.movies is the most popular streaming site on this list. Like many of the sites on this list, it changes its domain name on a regular basis to stay one step ahead of the authorities, so don’t bother bookmarking it. The reason it scores highly is the range of content, an easy-to-use user interface, and the ad content. You will see ads because the site is free to use, but streaming is good quality, the database is massive, and the search function is excellent.

Popcornflix

Popcornflix is great for mobile streaming, as the layout of the site is optimized for mobile devices. It has tons of movies but no TV shows, so that might be an issue for some viewers. Navigation is very easy, so you’ll have no problems finding what you want to watch.

Los Movies

LosMovies has an excellent selection of movies and TV shows, but where it really excels is in the range of international content. There are a great number of foreign movies and TV shows, most of which have subtitles. The downside is the high number of pop-up ads.

Crackle

Crackle is a popular alternative to Putlocker. It is free to use and there are thousands of movies and TV titles available. The ad content isn’t too annoying. You can also download the Crackle app for use on various devices.

GoMovies

GoMovies is a nice clutter-free site with a  good search function. Users can choose between two screen layouts, or even select the older layout with various lists, including trending movies. The night-mode is very cool if you plan on hosting a movie marathon.

Vumoo

Vumoo isn’t the largest site out there, but it is mostly ad-free, which is a major attraction. Use this site to watch your favorite movies and TV shows without intrusive pop-up ads.

Fmovies

Fmovies is very user-friendly, and the search function is a lot better than the likes of Netflix. If you are searching for a specific movie to watch, use this site. There are ads hosted on Fmovies, but they are not too intrusive.

Tubi

Tubi hosts thousands of movies and TV shows and is compatible with a large number of different devices. If you use an Amazon Fire Stick, this streaming service is a good choice.

MoviesJoy

MoviesJoy is a great site if you want to stream US content. The site is updated regularly and there’s no need to register. There are also very few irritating ads.

Vudu

Vudu has an easy-to-use interface with all the major categories. You can watch TV shows and movies and the app is easy to install on different devices.

Always make sure you use a VPN or proxy to encrypt your connection, so you remain anonymous when streaming copyrighted material.
